We’ve heard from Dr. Bernard Cheong on the topics of minute repeaters and watch collecting as an investment here. He inevitably provokes stimulating discussion with his informed opinions and views. This year Dr. Cheong was invited to be the first non commercial ambassador appointed by the FHH (Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie), which is a terrific honor. Dr. Cheong graciously gave me access to his speech, which was the closing of the FHH 2011 Convention. Panerai Surfaces with an iPad App and Magazine

Panerai gets on the train with a new iPad application designed for the Paneristi, focusing in on the Luminor and Radiomir models. You can download it free from the Apple Store and enjoy info, images and videos of the new Paneria models that debuted at the SIHH this year.

While the application gives you a quick overview, Panerai delves further with the Panerai Magazine, offering more detailed information including technical specs, performance features and the use of innovative materials. With this mag, Paneria aims to connect consumers with the watches and the history of the brand. The apps so far  have gotten a 4+ star rating so they must be pretty good, as Paneristi are pretty fastidious about their watches.
